RaysDanc was born from a deeply personal struggle. The founder, Jessica Wu, a former tech entrepreneur who built a global 3D printing brand, knew the pain of unmet beauty needs firsthand. As someone who struggled with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), she spent years battling unwanted hair while juggling student loans. A memory haunted her: driving past a clinic every day on the way to school at Homer Watson Blvd, Kitchener-Waterloo area, as a broke college student, knowing a $2,000 laser treatment was impossibly out of reach.
Years later, after discovering affordable at-home IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology, Jessica reunited with two brilliant minds she’d met during her Canadian days: Dr. Luchan Lyn and Dr. Neil Huang, laser technology pioneers with PhDs specialized in laser, light and light application from one of the top engineering schools - University of Waterloo, located in Ontario, Canada. Together, they asked: Why should cutting-edge beauty technology be a luxury? RaysDanc was then founded to rewrite the rules.
