Growing up in Tanzania, her mother owned a renowned custom clothing store that kindled Narmin's love for fashion and fabric. Customers would stop in and select a dress style from pattern counter catalog. They would then select fabric from the 100's of bolts in the store. Narmin's mom would then create the pattern, cut & sew the dress..This led Narmin to study and appreciate prints, patterns, colors, and fabrics.
